Having a piping hot cup of fresh coffee helps, when we're not thinking about penguins.

Have a great weekend, Carol!

LOL! How about watching penguins dance naked in front of a mirror? *grin*

Crap, what about the penguins? Now I'm thinking about them...

Well isn't that peachy...now I'll be thinking about penguins all day. That may be a good thing. It will keep the image of me dancing naked in front of a mirror out of my mind.

L.G.Smith said...

Oh, no, I'm not dancing naked in front of the mirror. I mean, it might make other people laugh, but not me. :)

LR said...

Hilarious! No naked dancing for me either. :)

BECKY said...

OMG, Carol! Look how you have messed with our minds! I LOVE penguins, I think most people do because they're just so darn cute, especially when they w>ak<.
And what's with dancing in front the mirror naked??? It's not even very good WITH clothes on! :o

So...because now all I'll do is think about penguins? What a devious lady you are!

Okay, now all I can think about is penguins. Thanks a lot. :)

Dear God, I'm thinking about Penguins. Thanks. Thanks for that!

I could dance naked in front of the mirror if I first poked my eyes out with hot irons.

I'm just saying.

And WHAT ABOUT THE PENQUINS?

Teresa

Tracy Jo said...

Aaaw penguins. Of course that is all I am thinking about and lines from Dr. Seuss books. Happy Weekend!!

Penguins. There are times in the year when I suffer from Penguin Guilt. When it's summer here and I know all those penguins are standing in that rugby-type scrum huddling against the freezing Antarctic wind - yes, Penguin Guilt. Don't judge me.

Empty Nest Insider said...

How did you know I look like a penguin when I'm dancing in front of a mirror? Julie

Carol Kilgore said...

Colette - I haven't pinned anything either, but I love looking.

Gail - Pretend you're three.

Kyra - Maybe I'm just weird.

Laura - Waddle, waddle :)

Joanne - Coffee...the miracle beverage :)

Aw, but penguins are cute . . .

Writing an online dating profile for a villain? Now that really sounds like fun. LOL.

Writing an online dating profile for a villain? That is a great idea. Love to see that! Awesome x

Jan Morrison said...

Oh Carol - especially the penguins. My mum (gone for years) told us kids with great excitement about seeing the 'penguins' when she and Dad visited Florida. We gulped and then scratched our heads and then laughed and asked, "pelicans, perhaps?"

Carol Kilgore said...

Madeleine - Give it a try!

Jan - Penguins, pelicans, whatev, LOL. Great story :)

creativewritingintheblackberrypatch said...

I like # 4 and #5. But I don't think #2 and #3 would work for me. It would make me more depressed. Reading Dr. Seuss would be good.

Carol Kilgore said...

Janet - We're all different :) That's a very good thing.

Misha Gericke said...

Hahaha loved your post. :-)

Carol Kilgore said...

Thanks, Misha!

Talli Roland said...

Yikes, I don't know about dancing naked in front of a mirror... that might be even more depressing! :)

You've made me grin with this post. Thank you!

Writer Pat Newcombe said...

Mmmmm... Not sure about any of these... The penguin thing is nice though... Such lovely creatures.

Jennifer Shirk said...

Ha! Dancing naked in front of the mirror wouldn't beat my blahs. It would seriously depress me! LOL!

I love to make a new dessert recipe ot beat my blahs--which is why no dancing in front of the mirror. It's a vicious cycle. :)

Carol Kilgore said...

Talli - Grins are super :)

Pat - Just focus on the penguins :)

Jennifer - Well, it's so bad in front of my mirror I have to laugh.

Mason Canyon said...

Another great Friday list to make me laugh. A group of us were vacationing in Florida one year and started a story about a penguin named Curtis being with us. One of the guys could throw his voice and we had people looking in trash cans and such for a penguin. And believe it or not, we weren't drinking anything stronger than black coffee. It was just one of those times when we all acted like teenagers again. Have a great week.

Lol! At penguins. I've been hearing a lot about David Gandy AND penguins on twitter lately with pictures ;)

Carol Kilgore said...

Mason - What a great vacation!

Conda - Not a clue. It's there in my head.

Nas - Pictures? Maybe I need to check it out :)

Just catching up with this list and I cracked up about Urban Dictionary, I laugh whenever I visit that site. Dancing in front of the mirror, naked or not, would horrify me LOL.

I'm happily thinking about penguins now. :D
