OMG! Chimichanga reminds me of that episode of Two and a Half Men where Alan's second wife kept saying chimichanga because she liked the way it sounded!
Carol, I love all the words. And the minute I read "chimichanga", I too thought of the Two and a Half Men episode! The character of Kandi was hilarious! Wish she was still on the show!
I also like shenanigans and I say "thingy" all the time!
Enjoyed your top ten, Carol, as well as ones shared in the comments. There are a few politicians I'd like to defenestrate. That may well become my favorite word for the day.
Don't ask why, but what immediately came to mind is BRIDGE. The other is SLUSH. (Maybe because one is kinda hard and abrupt sounding and the other is soft and mushy?) As a kid, I would proudly say antidisestablishmentarianism when prompted. :)

I love scuttlebutt and persnickety! I would add 'gob-smacked' 'verklempt' and 'rococo' .
These Friday's Top Ten lists are so much fun!
I like saying chimichanga, especially to a waiter. :)
Awesome words!
Great list! I tend to use "thingy" a lot, especially to describe any mechanical object/filler for the lost word that fell into the abyss of my mind.

Too good. Great words.
Oh, those are great! I also like "defenestrate." Both saying it, and the definition ("to throw something or someone out of a window").
Your #1 is my favorite too!!!
I like "shenanigans" myself. Super-fun post Carol!
I've got an award for you at my blog, stop by when you can :)
I'm not sure I can say some of these. LOL
Jan - Those are fun words, too.
Donna - I'm glad you enjoy them :)
L.G. - Yeah!
Clarissa - Thanks.
Laura - Thingy is my word of choice for those words, too.

Great, fun post!
I love Lilliputian. Seriously. I try to use it in every piece I write and make it flow. Okay, so I'm weird.
Have a great weekend!
Oh Soliloguy - my fav word EVER. I am in love with it, you know. ;_) Also, your #2 has me wavering...
Have a lovely weekend! x
Linda K. - Yes! Love that show.
Linda G. - Another fun word. Unless you're the person being thrown :)
Teresa - Don't try to say it after a couple glasses of wine :)
Savannah - I like that word, too! Thanks for the award. I'll be by a little later today.
Ciara - Sure you can. Just not after wine - LOL
I like persnickety as well. Titillate is another good one.

Love 'scuttlebutt'! Always have, always will.

Number four is the funnest. To eat. Yum! :)
Becky - I can't wait to see the new direction 2-1/2 will take. And another fun word.
VR - Your signature word :)

Antidisestablishmentarianism! Drives my wife nuts that I can both say it and spell it.
Excellent words, Carol! Personally, I'm rather fond of akimbo.
Deoxyribonucleic. :)
LOL. I'm going to be saying Mr. Aloysius Snuffleupagus all day now . . .
Lilliputian is an awesome word. And we're actually having chimichangas for dinner :) Have a great weekend!
Wonderful words! Nice to meet you.
Maryann - Behave. I don't want to see you on the news :)
Mason - You stay cool, too.
Alex - I wondered who would bring up that word.
Elspeth - I like that word, too.
Golden Eagle - OK...I had to look it up. No wonder most of us call it by a much more common name. Good one!
Kendal - Ha! A two-fer :)
Kris - Same here. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
Very fun words - thanks for sharing!
You taught me a new word! Flibbertigibbet. Did I spell that right?
Lady Gwen - My pleasure.
Lydia - I think so :)
Your fun word brings back the words of the song, which I learnt in primary school. :) Have a wonderful weekend!
These are great words!!!
You have some of my favorite words here! But I don't know #2.
J.L. - Cool :)
Laura - Glad you like.
Theresa - Snuffy on Sesame Street.
Persnickety for the win! :)
I love your word lists! I love words. Persnickety would be a great name for a character.
Samantha - I need to go find a blue ribbon :)
Clara - Thanks. I love words, too. Persnickety would be perfect in a kid's book. Do it!
I'm always a day late and a dollar short on checking the blog. I love the Friday Top Tens, though, so better late than never.
I'm IMPRESSED that you actually spelled the number #1 fun word. My hat's off to you.
I also like yepadoodle.
Confession time...I had to look it up. I never heard yepadoodle. But I like it :)
Scuttlebutt is cute. :)
I just returned from Ireland and some of the town names made me laugh too. "Ballybunion" and "Ballysally" etc.
LR - Those names are funny to my ears, too.

I like slush :)
