A Tiki Christmas

With Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire, I'm dreaming of a White Christmas. But It's Christmastime in Texas, so since I live in San Antonio, there's not much chance of that.

Even with no snow, it won't stop kids and grown-ups alike from searching the sky on Christmas Eve for Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer because Santa Claus Is Coming To Town.

Do You Hear What I Hear? Every once in a while I think I hear Jingle Bells, but it keeps turning out to be Jingles, my neighbor's cute little cat, coming around to torment Arf and Woof.

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year, so while you Deck the Halls, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.

As for me, Santa Baby is waiting :)

I enjoyed singing my way through your post! We haven't had any snow yet here in southern New England, but they are predicting some for late Christmas day ... Let's hope so :)

Merry Christmas Carol, wishing you much Happy Writing in the New Year!

We're not getting any snow here in Utah, either - just a lot of rain, but Christmas is coming and I can't wait. A Merry one to you too. :)

As I was coming home from my "Jingle bell Rock" I looked in the window and "I Saw Mama Kissing Santa Claus." Cute, Carol, Cute.
For all of you who don't have snow.... count your blessings.

Joanne - Keep watching for snow. You have a greater chance than we do here.

MT - Maybe you'll get some from the storms that are now in California. Merry Christmas!

Manzanita - Love it! Merry Christmas :)

Madeleine - Thanks for stopping by. Merry Christmas!

Love what you've done with these Christmas songs! You are so clever!!

I heard Eartha Kit singing Santa Baby on a CD of my daughter's last night. She's out of my childhood. I see that she died exactly two years ago, at age 81.

May you and yours also have a merry little Christmas!! I'm very glad that this Christmas I know you!!!

How fun! And we're singing...It came upon a midnight clear so far, although we may get snow.

Words Crafter - I had fun with it.

LR - I plan to :)

Conda - "Let It Snow"
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas and the weather report looks more and more like my dream might come true. It's beginning to look a lot...well, you know the rest.
Merry Christmas.
Cute, very cute and creative.

Have a very Merry Christmas.

I love this post! I'm addicted to Christmas music. I have an Ipod playlist with 178 of my favorite Christmas tunes and docking stations in every room. Yes, there are several versions of each song, but rock, country, traditional, who cares? It's Christmas music and it's wonderful.

They're actually predicting snow for the Atlanta area on Christmas. I remain skeptical, but that hasn't stopped my dreaming. :)

Happy Christmas!

How cute. I once heard a poem that used a bunch of candy bar names. Wish I could find it again.

Merry Christmas, white or otherwise!!

Glynis - May your Christmas be wonderful.

Clarissa - It was fun!

VR - I love all the music, too. A local radio station has been playing nothing but Christmas music since Thanksgiving weekend. I'm loving it. I heard about your predicted snow :)

Linda - Sounds like a fun poem. You'll have a special Christmas this year!

So many great songs. So little snow. On the other hand, I don't want to live in snow. I'd like to visit it and play in it, though.

Be happy you can have a mild Christmas & not have to freeze or shovel a lot of snow. Merry Christmas, no matter what the weather! :)
The weather has been crazy enough to wonder if maybe you WILL get a white Christmas! We're getting one in NC (allegedly...the weathermen are promising!) First time since 1947.

Helen - I like falling snow the best. I like it OK on the ground until it gets dirty or icy hard.

Lisa - I don't like shoveling snow!

Elizabeth - It's been crazy here, too. Maybe rain before Christmas is about all the precipitation we're due. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

We saw a little snow on our way across the country as we passed thru Indiana, Illinois, and Pennsylvania. And it's much colder than I like. We'll be going thru San Antonio on our way home after New Years. Please keep the heat turned on and the skies blue. We want some good weather to follow us home.
Happy Holidays!

Arlee - You must be up in the Northeast someplace. When you said cross-country, you didn't exaggerate! At least you're out of the California rain. Stay warm. And wave when you come back through San Antonio. I hope it's sunny and warm. This week has been Rudolph weather - cool and foggy. Merry Christmas!

I'm gettin nuttin for Christmas in the White Christmas line but I'll be home for Christmas and not only in my dreams. I don't want snow just mistletoe and stockings all in a row (preferably a row of cancan dancers but hey).
Thanks for your silliness - it is appreciated. I know I haven't made myself heard much lately - I blame it on the rewrites but I'm making an effort to get around to all my blog pals and tell them how much I appreciate their writing and friendship! Have a wonderful time - see you in the new year!
