Before today's top ten, I'd like to say that 2009 was a year filled with sunshine and laughter, smiles and love for my live-in handyman and me. I hope 2010 is as wonderful for us. And for you.
Happy New Year!
Moving right along . . .
The top ten resolutions I've broken:
10. Keep a journal
9. Learn to ski
8. Cut back on the amount of news I read
7. Learn to be a happy shopper
6. Cook at least one new dish every week
5. Keep on top of the laundry
4. Keep our house clean
3. Exercise three times per week
2. Be less selfish
And the #1 resolution I've broken:
1. Lose weight

I don't make resolutions simply because I know I'll break them. In the past, I have broken about half of the ones on your list.
Happy New Year!
I'd go along with most of your resolutions and could probably break them faster than you could. Hope 2010 is good to you. Wishing you all the best.
Same to you, Jane. I don't make them anymore.
We can have a race, Mason!
I like this list! It's so refreshing, being a broken list. I can say I've broken every one of those as well. :)
I set goals for me, make resolutions for the hubster.
Love the idea of broken lists--and I only keep #3 because I'm an exercise instructor and it's my job to exercise 3 times a week!
My top broken: cut down on the amount of tea I drink (can you guess my favorite beverage?).
Laura - Welcome to the Broken Resolutions Club.
Terry - Goals I can do. They translate into positive actions for me - things I want to do. Resolutions are telling me I have to do something I really don't want to do. So I don't. My live-in handyman keeps resolutions better than I do. When I bothered to make them, I broke them the first day to get it over and done.
Conda - Now there's a job I'd hate. But kudos to you. Maybe you should live at my house. I'd buy you tea.
I prefer goals also. Resolutions are made to be broken.
Other than the skiing thing, however, I'm sure I've broken all the others too.
Yep, been there, haven't done that. A little New Years resolution humor for you.

Shirley - The Broken Resolutions Club is growing!
Stephen - Love humor!
